Assistant Professor, Materials Research Centre (MRC), Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore
(2019 – Present)
“Dr. P. Rajamalli is an Assistant Professor at the Materials Research centre, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), with strong expertise in organic electronics, particularly OLEDs and optoelectronic materials. Her research focuses on the design and development of advanced organic functional materials for high-performance optoelectronic applications, including thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) emitters and next-generation OLED devices.
She completed her Ph.D. (2008–2012) at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras under the supervision of Prof. Edamana Prasad. Following this, she carried out extensive post-doctoral research at the National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan (2012–2016) with Prof. Chien-Hong Cheng, and at the University of St Andrews, UK (2016–2017) with Prof. Eli Zysman-Colman, where she worked on cutting-edge OLED materials and device physics. Dr. Rajamalli was awarded the prestigious Marie Curie Fellowship (2017–2019) at the University of St Andrews, further strengthening her international research profile in organic optoelectronics. In 2018, she was also a JSPS Visiting Researcher at OPERA, Kyushu University, Japan, working with Prof. Chihaya Adachi, a global leader in OLED and TADF research.”
